Conroe Car Dealer Teams With CASA
A few excited teens standing in the showroom of a Conroe car dealership got the chance to pick out their favorite car and ride in the passenger seat. As they were escorted through the Wiesner GMC Buick dealership, the car buying process was explained in-depth to them as if they were purchasing their first car.
Everything from financing to maintaining and purchasing a new car was explained to 10 local foster kids as a part of the Fostering Futures programs offered through Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Child Advocates of Montgomery County. Sometimes childrean in foster care don't get these kinds of lessons and they are important for them to thrive as adults.
The youths, who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect, had the opportunity to sit behind the wheel, observe the service area where vehicle maintenance is performed and speak with Wiesner’s finance manager, Justin Lewis who helped them fill out a credit application.
When it came to filling out the employment portion of the application, Lewis encouraged the teens to put their dream job and spoke about celebrities they might now who have become successful in spite of being where the teens might be currently.
Thank you Wiesner Buick!
