It’s about that time of year again for golf, grub and good times. The Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce will host the 32nd annual Lobsterfest dinner on Oct. 4 and golf tournament on Oct. 5 with the hope of raising at least $80,000 as one of the chambers biggest fundraisers of the year. Tickets will be on sale until Sept. 28 for the traditional dinner featuring steak and lobster that will be held that Thursday at the Lone Star Convention Center in Conroe 9055 Airport Rd. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the dinner and auction at 7 p.m. Individual dinner tickets cost $80 while a table of 10 costs $750. About 600 tickets have been sold for the event that usually sees about 800 to 850 attendees. Tickets will not be sold the day of the event.
The event will feature live and silent auction items, ranging from trips to sports memorabilia packages, including for an autographed Alex Bregman jersey, as well as tickets to the Houston Astros, Houston Rockets tickets, and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. The chamber is still seeking silent auction items, which will also be accepted on the day of the event. The golf tournament will follow on Friday at Panorama Golf Club with 7:30 am and 1:30 pm Shotgun Start. The cost is $750 for a golf team of 4. Mulligans is 1 for $10 or $2 for $20 per team.
